Cosy toes for the boys

cosy-house-shoes.jpgThese aren’t just slippers, these are wool and organic cotton house shoes from Simple shoes.  What does that mean?  It means that they’re going to keep your feet warm and comfy through the autumn and winter months.  But that’s not all.  They look pretty good, and they’re sustainable.

Simple shoes has put a lot of effort into finding the right materials to make these slippers ethical, long lasting and as natural as possible.

First there’s the wool, we all know where that comes from (baah!).

Then the cotton, it’s organic, produced without herbicides and pesticides.  Using organic cotton also supports the organic farming community who are doing great things to protect the earth.

And down to the sole.  If you forget you’re wearing slippers (because they’re so comfortable it’s quite possible that you might) and venture out with the dog, or to the local shop, don’t worry.  The mix of crepe rubber and latex (also a type of rubber) will keep your feet dry and your house shoes will live to lounge another day.

To top it all off, they come in a 100% recycled cardboard box.

You don’t often find comfort as green as that. Now, where’s that pipe?
