The July Green List
The BlogGreen guide to a greener month ahead.
Last chance to get it…
Tickets that is. To the Two Thousand Trees Festival that’s happening in a sunny (?) field in the Cotswolds on the 11th and 12th of July 2008. Online tickets have all been sold (it’s an intimate event with only 2,000 tickets available), but you can still get yours at one of the music shops listed on their site. Hurry, they’re going fast. Two Thousand Trees is a green and ethical music festival with a comprehensive on-site recycling scheme, an emphasis on locally produced, organic food and drink being served in either reusable or biodegradable (corn starch) containers, and lights and power produced by biodiesel.
Buy it…
Whether you’ll be at Two Thousand Trees or another festival or camping trip this summer, never be without a cup of tea with the amazing storm kettle. Boil 2.5 pints of water quickly and efficiently, using a sheet of newspaper and handful of dry twigs (or whatever you have to hand). I have one of these and love it!
Wear it…
Sunscreen is essential at this time of year. To be kind to the environment as well as to your skin, choose an organic and natural sunscreen, like one these from Green People.
