Halsall Spiderman 3 - Bouncy Castle

Halsall Spiderman 3 - Bouncy CastleWhen I was younger I had to wait until there was a carnival or fair in town to have a go on a bouncy castle. Nowadays, as you’ll see from this post, people are able to buy these for their own back gardens.

The Halsall Spiderman 3 Bouncy Castle is just that. A bouncy castle you can set up for your own kids to enjoy when ever they want (dependant on the weather obviously). The Halsall Spiderman 3 Bouncy Castle. This one is based on Spiderman 3 (obvious really from the title).

The Halsall Spiderman 3 Bouncy Castle is for the younger kids in the family though, so no adults allowed. Which is a shame really because we have so much fun on the trampoline once we’ve finished the barbecue.

Measuring 152 x 160 x 185cm, this is great for any child (3 or over) who aspires to be a super hero in their own right. They’ll have hours of fun playing out their fantasies on the  Halsall Spiderman 3 Bouncy Castle. This bouncy castle is great because it costs under £20, which is great on your pocket and will keep the kids quiet.

As I always say at the end of most of my posts, PriceGrabber have scoured the internet to find the best deals available, so that you don’t have to.

Tomorrow I’ll write about a great addition to your cooking utensil range, and one that is specially suited for this time of year.

Headphonies

HeadphoniesThese look like they could be a fun gadget to own. Headphonies are the latest novelty mini speakers to hit the market. They’re a combination of a cute novelty toy and a speaker that you can connect up to any device that has a 3.5″ jack socket.

So why would you want to get your hands on any Headphonies? Simply because they’re cool and funky and they are the must have gadget at the moment. Made of tough ABS, these 3″ toys are great as gifts too. Not only are they great as gifts, they’re highly collectable.

Headphonies can be used as a key ring, so they have a practical use too. So how do you charge the Headphonies? Well, like most gadgets these days, they are charged by plugging them in to a USB port on your computer. You know they’re charging because they have built in LED hearts which show you. How cute is that! You can get about 4 hours from a one hour charge.

The Headphonies are available in three designs at the moment: Pink Bear, Soft Touch and Mad Ape. Each of the Headphonies are limited edition and there are only 500 - 1000 of each available. I have no doubt in my mind that these are going to be a huge seller, so what are you waiting for, grab yours today! Each of the Headphonies sells for £29.95 and is available as always through PriceGrabber.

Stealth Speedboat

Stealth SpeedboatThis is a pretty cool gadget for both adults and kids alike. I would definitely get one of the Stealth Speedboats. With the weather we’ve had recently it’s been the perfect opportunity to go and race a Stealth Speedboat on a pond or lake. Obviously if you are a younger person, make sure there’s an adult with you for safety.

So, why a Stealth Speedboat I hear you ask? Well, I had a radio controlled Hovercraft when I was younger and never really got to take it anywhere. Now that I’m meant to be grown up I think it would be a Stealth Speedboat would be the perfect gadget gift for me. What’s more, the Stealth Speedboat can reach speeds of up to 30 km/h due to its aerodynamics.

Charging the battery takes 4 hours and this gives you 30 minutes to play with your Stealth Speedboat. Now what I’m thinking is that 30 minutes isn’t really a long time, so I would probably have to buy some extra batteries (if that’s possible). That aside, the Stealth Speedboat is a groovy little gift for anyone who loves their radio controlled models. I absolutely love them and would love to own an RC helicopter.

The Stealth Speedboat costs just under £40 which is great for me.

Shock Ball

Shock BallShocking, simply shocking, is what the Shock Ball is all about. About the same size as a cricket ball, the Shock Ball is a great little gadget that will amuse (and shock) you for hours on end. Play pass the Shock Ball with a group of frinds to see who becomes the victim of a surge of electricity.

The Shock Ball delivers random electric shocks to whoever is unfortunate to be holding it when it goes off. This in turn can create a tense and fun atmosphere in which vital decisions can be made. Use the Shock Ball to decide who has to buy the first round of drinks down the local, or even to decide who has to buy the tickets to the next big gig you want to attend.

Costing under £15.00, it’s a great little gadget to have when you’ve got a group of mates round for a few drinks. It can turn a night in with the boys in to an extremely fun night in with the boys. Heck, you could even take it out with you and have fun with random people you meet.

Without a doubt, whatever you decide to do with the Shock Ball, it will make you laugh until your sides hurt. You might even get to feel the shocking power of the Shock Ball for yourself if you’re the unlucky one to get a hit.

Tommy 20

Tommy 20When I was a child growing up, we never had any gadgets like this. The Tommy 20 is, obviously a tommy gun that’s based on the famous gun from the twenties, but without the real bullets, instead of the real bullets the Tommy 20 fires foam darts.

The magazine of the Tommy 20, as the name suggests, holds 20 of the foam bullets which is handy. Now any target you aim for has no hope of avoiding the barrage of foam that will be zooming towards them. Even better would be to get a group of your friends to buy a Tommy 20 each and have a twenties style shoot out between two teams.

I can see the Tommy 20 being a big hit with teenage boys and dads who are trying to hang on to their youth by fantasising about being gangsters. I do remember a film called Bugsy Malone many years ago who’s cast were all children. They had similar guns but instead of bullets or foam they fired splurge! That film featured a very young Jodie Foster if I remember correctly. Get it out and have a look for yourself - it’s a classic.

So what are you waiting for, get your hands on the Tommy 20, a gangster hat, a pair of gangster shoes and a long overcoat and get yourself out on the streets. There’s so much fun to be had with the Tommy 20!

iTeddy

iTeddyThe teddy bear has been a favourite toy for children all over the world for many, many years, me included. It’s even given as a gift on Valentine’s Day between lovers. It is one of the best gifts you can give, or even receive, and they stay as a loved gift for decades.

I still have a few teddy bears that I received as a small child in my possession. Granted I don’t really play or look at them these days, but they’re still in good shape.

Now there’s a new kind of teddy available - The iTeddy. The iTeddy is a great gift to give any child. It incorporates a Personal Media Player in its belly which has support for MP3, WMA, MPEG4, SMV, WMV and JPEG. The iTeddy has a 1.8″ colour screen too.

The iTeddy has a standard memory of 512Mb, but this can be upgraded by using an SD Card of higher capacity. Getting media files in to the iTeddy is easy enough to do too with the supplied cable. There’s a socket on the iTeddy for this USB cable, but it also doubles as the power socket, so that you can keep the iTeddy charged up.

A great gift to give any child in this media savvy age, I wish there were toys like this available when I was a child.

Poken

PokenWhat a great little device the Poken is. It’s a USB device that lets you exchange contact details instantly. Just touch your Poken’s hand with another and your details are swapped in an instant using RF technology. You’ll know if it’s been a successful transfer as the hand will glow green.

The Poken is able to store up to 64 contacts at any one time. And once you log on to your favourite social networking site, these new contacts can be instantly transferred. When the Poken is nearing full capacity, the hand will turn to an orange light.

With the Poken you can have multiple identities on the one device and simply swap between them. The Poken come in four different flavours, no they’re not edible just four different kind; Bee, Alien, Voodoo and Panda. It doesn’t really matter which one you get, they work in the same way. You slap the hands together, the details are transferred then you plug it in to your computer to get the details from them.

I think that the Poken could quite possibly be the next big thing that kids will want to own. Its simplicity makes it a sure fire winner. Grab your Poken today before they become scarce.

Batteries

BatteryI thought it would be best to remind you all to get the most important things this and every other year… Batteries!!! People always seem to forget the batteries for the toys they buy for some reason. It’s something that’s overlooked each and every year in this house. I can’t tell you why though.

People should buy the batteries at the same time as they buy the gift really shouldn’t they. I keep telling myself that I’ll get the batteries cheaper at such and such store, but almost always never make it to that particular shop. Or it’s a case of “I’ll get them online”.

I’m sure that I’m not alone; there are thousands of you that do the same. I’m willing to bet on it. I always remember being disappointed when I found out a gift needed batteries and there were none in the house! I remember getting a remote control car and in those days they didn’t come with rechargeable batteries like they do now. I had to look at the car for four days before there was a shop open to get batteries!

Don’t make the same mistake folks. Christmas falls on a Thursday this year, so chances are you may not be able to get to a shop until Monday, or worse still Wednesday! Luckily, PriceGrabber can find you the cheapest batteries on the internet. We all know that it’s the last shopping weekend before Christmas and that it’s going to be really, really busy every where. Don’t over look the simple things like batteries; get them ordered online today to avoid disappointment on the big day.

Wii Fit

Wii FitIt looks very likely that this year’s must have Christmas gift is the Wii Fit. It’s virtually sold out everywhere, or at least the Wii Fit without a Wii is. My sister has been trying in vain to get her hands on one. Sure, she can get one from eBay if she’s willing to pay over the odds for it.

I don’t see the appeal of the Wii Fit personally, but I suppose the kids will love it. Interaction at it’s best possibly?

I remember last year (and the year before) when everyone was trying to get hold of the Wii and it was out of stock. Nintendo are certainly doing well out of this. Is it good marketing or just lack of products? My money is on good marketing and hype generation.

Nintendo have certainly got it right with the Wii and the Wii Fit. There are better games consoles out there. Ones with better graphics and better games, but people seem to love the Wii…. I don’t know why that is. Simplicity of game play perhaps?

It’s certainly true that there will be a lot of disappointed kids all over the country come the morning of the 25th when Father Christmas fails to deliver the goods. I don’t understand why people don’t buy these things when there is plenty of stock in the summer. Oh well, you can bet that the same thing will happen next year too, but with a different gadget.
I’ve searched PriceGrabber for the Wii Fit, but alas to no avail. Even they can’t find any. They do have the actual Wii Console and other accessories though.

Racing Grannies

Racing GranniesThis is a great stocking filler - Racing Grannies will bring out the competitive side in you. Many an hour will be spent racing against your competitors with these novelty gifts. They’re going to get you all wanting to race no matter who receives the Racing Grannies as a gift.

I remember when I was younger getting a game called Bedlam, and indeed it was when we played it. But we always wanted to play it because it was fun and passed the time. Then there are the classics, like Monopoly and Cluedo - they’re all great games that keep you entertained aren’t they.

What I’m trying to say is that the Racing Grannies are going to be a great laugh if you get them for someone, or receive them from someone. What could be better after a belly full of turkey dinner, than a race around the empty bottles of wine with these great little toys?

There’s always something that almost everyone forgets to buy over the Christmas period and that’s batteries, but fear not, the Racing Grannies don’t require batteries because they’re wind up. Which is always a good thing, right? They’re well within most people’s budgets too at under £15. Well worth forking out for the Racing Grannies, if only for a bit of peace from the usual Christmas arguments.
