Torchwood - Children of Earth
This new series of Torchwood (Series 3) was shown on BBC One a couple of weeks ago over five nights. The whole of Series three was just five episodes, but boy they were good episodes. In fact, it was probably the best series of Torchwood that I have seen.
I’ve been a big fan of Doctor Who for many, many years and this more adult orientated spin-off from that program complements it perfectly. Torchwood - Children of Earth is now available to own on DVD and Blu-Ray. The version I’m writing about here is the Blu-Ray version. I chose the Blu_Ray version because it’s packed with some great extra features. Things that you wouldn’t get on the DVD version and of course, its all in High Definition.
What I like about getting this on Blu-Ray is the ability to watch it all in one sitting without having to take a break in between the episodes. This helps with keeping the pace of the story going. I found that when I watched Torchwood - Children of Earth on the television that the momentum of the series changed on a daily basis. I’m not saying I didn’t like that, but I would have prefered to watch it all through in one go.
There are definitely some great twists and shocking developments in this third series. I’m not going to reveal any of them here for obvious reasons; you’ll just have to buy your own copy of the series. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
Obviously if you don’t have a Blu-Ray player, you can still get Torchwood - Children of Earth on DVD.
