The Arrangement
I’ve not used this blog to promote anything that is associated to me in any way at all. But today I’m going to post about a short film a friend of mine was involved quite heavily.
It’s a short 10 minute film in Welsh called “Y Fargen” or The Arrangement to give it its English title. The film was produced by James Nee and Rhodri ap Dyfrig in 2005, but it’s only just become available on-line recently. I was quite surprised to learn that this was their first ever film! The Arrangement was filmed over two days at Keeper’s Lodge in Pontypool. It proved to be the ideal location with exactly the right characteristics and atmosphere the producers were looking for.
Having just watched the film I have to say that I was massively impressed with the production. Obviously, I have an interest in this because of my university course. We have to do film making as part of the process of learning how film works. Currently we’re developing scripts to produce.
Although the film is in Welsh, there is a version available with subtitles and that’s what I’m going to link to below. Sit back; close the curtains and turn off the lights. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this short.
