Stella McCartney Bambi advertising campaign

picture from www.theguardian.co.uk
If you love all things cute and cuddly and you are the type of girl that has a bedroom stuffed with designer clothes alongside stacks of soft toys, you will love the new Stella McCartney advertising campaign. Of course cartoons and fashion is nothing new, only a few seasons ago Giles Deacon used Bambi in his some what sinister designs and Disney Couture has also became something of a trend.
The ads are featured as double page spread in French, Italian and British Vogue. I think they are a great way to catch peoples attention, especially those who have a fond love of Bambi from their childhood. “I’m a huge Bambi fan”, said McCartney. “And we wanted to have some fun. The clothes in the campaign are looking quite fierce, and we wanted to contrast them with the innocence of Bambi.”
Get yourself some fierce Stella McCartney style with these gorgeous grey Stella McCartney wedges that will look great with this autumn and winter’s grey palettes.

The Sequin Dress

At Alexander Wang a very simple style of sequin dress makes a cool and shimmery outfit. No one else could make a sequin dress look so understated and stylish as Alexander Wang.

At Balmain, Another simple style of sequin dress but this time the bold black stripes and angular shoulders add a bit of space age appeal.

At Louise Goldin, yet more shimmer and a simple style dress. The combination of black and silver on this dress gives it maximum sparkle.

A Michael Kors, the sequin dress goes grown up and ladylike with an elegant assymetrical knee length hem and high neckline.

At Twenty8twelve, the label of sisters Sienna and Savannah Miller, a gorgeous green sequin dress. This is a great option for those who always want to stand out in a crowd.

At Stella McCartney, diagonal sequins in matt silver create an interesting armour like effect. The rounded shoulders and sleeves add to the feeling of being covered in armoured plates.
The great thing about all of these sequin dresses is that they are fairly understated, apart from the sparkle, so would not look out of place at any summer occasion. My top tips for working this summer’s street sparkle look are:
Go for a simple t shaped dress.
Dress down with black boots and flats
Keep hair and make up simple and minimal

If you are very careful, you can look great in sequins for almost any occasion. Try this sequin panel dress for by the pool.

Paris Fashion Week - Stella McCartney AW09

pictures from www.style.com
Stella McCartney has gomne back to her roots with her autumn winter 09 collection, as have so many designers of late, many have put it down to the recession. Never mind the reasons why, Stella latest collection was filled with all those things that we love about her. The tailoring, the slip dresses, the cool laid back elegant look that she has made her own.
There was yet another appearance of the legging boots, which I love, this time vegan as Stella does not use leather. The colour schemes were fairly simple, black and white, some grey and redbut with such lovely taiored jackets and delicate floaty dresses lots of colour and pattern was just not needed. The slip dresses had sheer panels and see through bits, a very feminine style. Overall the collection was all about gorgeous and wearable clothes. Just the sort of thing that most people would love to be able to wear every day.
I love this delicate and very feminine top by Stella McCartney, perfect for almost any occasion.

Paris Fashion Week - Stella McCartney
I love Stella McCartney clothes for the relaxed wearability. They are the sort of clothes that I could quite easily wear every day, if I could afford them. They look both comfy and sexy and I think inspire that confisent look in the wearer that only comes when someone feels really great in what they are wearing.
At Paris fashion week, her show was one of the best. She has created a look that has become really popular with oversized jackets and slouchy knits. Her Spring/ Summer 09 collection contained plenty of her signature items and plenty of her feel good factor. With outfits in monochrome or muted shades, the clothes were so beautiful they didn’t need bright colours and patterns. Stella was just doing what she does best simple, effortless style.

Stella’s tailoring is definitely one of her strong points. I love the oversized jacket with large shoulders and deep V at the front. The pushed up sleeves make it look cooler than cool.

The Deep V neck again makes this a lovely outfit - if you have very long legs!

This lighter than light long sleeved top is a great basic for a laid back Spring look.

A great combination of neutral colours. The boxy shape top balances and ankle skimming trousers perfectly.

Is this a top or an extremely mini mini dress. I’m not sure but I love the clean line of it and it looks so soft.
If you want to give yourself a really luxurious treat try this Stella McCartney light weight knit cashmere jumper.
