Matthew Williamson SS10

pictures from style.com
Bright, colorful, fresh, feminine and interesting, Matthew Williamson’s clothes are everything that I love about fashion and his collection for SS10 as usual did not disappoint. He is one of my favourite designers and I am so glad that he is back at London Fashion Week along with a few of my other favourites. His SS10 collection ticked all of the boxes and in true Matthew Williamson style made me feel summery.
I loved the colour combinations and the patterns, the sparkle, the draping and the embellishment. The collection was perhaps fairly predictable and didn’t break much new ground. But then if this is the winning formula of fashion that people like to buy, then why change it. My particular favorites of this collection are a rainbow coloured print puffball dress, a silver and turquoise embellished dress, a black and white crochet dress and a multi coloured swimsuit with black knickers.
Get yourself some tropical Matthew Williamson style with this black, white and pink top.

Matthew Williamson Returning to London Fashion Week

I couldn’t help but shout “yippee” when I heard that Matthew Williamson is returing to London Fashion Week in the Autumn. Matthew Williamson is one of my favourite designers, no I think he probably is my absolute favourite designers. I love his boho chic styles and the ethnic details. Most of all I love the bright happy colours and eye catching prints of his designs.
I have only just recovered from the excitement of the H & M collection by Mathew Williamson which featured his trademark trendy and feminine version of Ibiza Chic.
And if that wasn’t enough to satisfy my excitement about Matthew Williamson and his clothes, he will also be joining Giles Deacon and Elle Magazine editor in chief Lorraine Candy on the judging panel of Graduate Fashion Week starting next week.
I will be keeping myself happy for now with this Matthew Williamson crinkle top in some very lovely summer colours.

Matthew Williamson at H and M

Only a week away from the launch of the new Matthew Williamson collection at H & M and I am very excited. The latest collection which will launch in selected stores on 23rd April and is just one in a line of collections for H & M by high profile designers, incluicng Karl Lagerfeld, Valentino and Comme Des Garcons.
The Limited edition designer capsule collections at H & M have proved hugely popular allowing fashionistas to get a piece by their favourite designer at a fraction of the price of a piece from the designers usual collection. Matthew Williamson is one of my favourite designer with his signature style of feminine and ethnic clothing with colourful designs and details like embrodiery. Celebrities like Lindsey Lohan, Eva Longoria and Nicole Richie are all fans of the designer.
The Matthew Williamson collection will be one of the biggest so far and will even include menswear. I love the look of the gorgeous peacock maxi dress and leather jacket.
If you are love Matthew Williamson and want to get something from his collection for the summer, try these Shorts.

Matthew Williamson - NYFW - Fall 2009

pictures from www.style.com
Another of my favourite collections at New York Fashion Week was by one of my favourite designers, Matthew Williamson. I love the collection for his use of colour. Whilst many other designers turn to black, darks and neutrals for autumn and winter, Matthew Williamson keeps it bright colourful and rainbow like. Definitely a collection to cheer me up during those cold and dark winter months. The cleverness of this collection is the way that he kept the colours so light and bright but still managed to create clothes that had a toasty warm and cosy feel about them.
Some of the high lights of this collection for me (although there are too many to mention) were the clashing reds and oranges, the zebra print boots, the electric blue fur, the rainbow coats that looked like they had been coloured with a crayon, the creamy satin with jewell like prints and the ethnic style knit wear. Overall the collection was typical for Matthew Williamson, lots of colour, lots of ethnic detail and lots of feminine charm.
If you can’t wait until fall to get some gorgeous Matthew Williamson colour, then this Matthew Williamson orange top will be just what you need.
