Start your own fashion and style photo blog
I love blogging and reading fashion and style blogs. It is a great way to find out about the latest trends and get lots of fashion and style inspiration. If you like styling your own outfits and have a unique and individual style of your own, why not start your own fashion and style blog? It is great fun and could even lead to an exciting new career.
Starting your own fashion and style photo blog is really easy. There are a number of free blogging platforms that you can use but blogger is probably the easiest for a beginner to use. Your blog should be completely unique to you. You could write about your favourite fashions or create a style journal with pictures of different outfits that you have put together. If you love vintage clothes, why not have a blog about vintage clothes. There are so many great fashion and style blogs to look at for some inspiration. Some of my favourites are Style Bubble, Kingdom of Style, Flying Saucer and The Coveted.
In order to take photographs of your outfits you will need a basic SLR camera. The Nikon D40 is generally considered a great lightweight and compact SLR for a beginner and will allow you to take some good quality to pictures to post on your blog. You will probably also need a tripod and remote if you want to take pictures of yourself. There are some great tips on taking photographs for your fashion blog on How to take gorgeous self portraits. Independent Fashion Bloggers also has a wealth of other resources and tips for fashion bloggers
