The Autumn’s Most Flattering Look
I have made it no secret that I love the Burberry Prorsum Autumn Winter 08 collection for its supreme wearability. One of my favourite features of the whole collection is the tunic with long flared trousers. I have also spotted this look on numerous other catwalks including Akris, Just Cavalli and Michael Kors. It has a definite seventies feel about it. The tunic is such an easy and versatile piece to wear. It is both slimming and flattering and whe teamed with this seasons long flared trousers, it gives a really long and lean sillhoutte. If you think the thought of wearing a tunic is a bit boring then think again. This seasons tunics are in all sorts of luxe fabrics inlcuding bright tartans and plaids at D & G. You can also wear the tunic with this seasons cropped straight leg trousers for a really smart look that will be great for the office. The tunic is also the perfect item to wear if you love wearing key basics then brightening up with jewellery. You can also add a bit more shape to your tunic by cinching in with a belt. Other great ways to accessorise the tunic include gloves, hats, statement bags and shoes.
The tunic is the petite girls best friend. It will make you look taller by lengthening the body, just pay careful attention to length, it should finish on or above mid thigh level or the look will be out of balance.

Wearability
When it comes to the most wearble collection of Autumn Winter 08, it can only really be Burberry Prorsum. Christopher Bailey has excelled himself with his collection combining grunge and heritage for a supremely easy to wear collection. The look was accessorised with some luxe accessories to keep the look polished.

The beautifully but simply cut coats in neutral autumnal colours were worn with opaque black tights, statement necklaces and this seasons must have beanie hat.

These shimmering gold trousers are the perfect alternalive for black trouser for a night out.

This dark plum coloured coat lloks great with the dark trousers, green gloves and blue necklace. A great colourful look but in a toned down way.

This classic combination of blazer and trousers will no doubt be one of the most worn looks for Autumn Winter 08, again teamed with this winters beanie.

This outfit tops the collection for wearability. The flare trousers in a deep plum are incredibly flattering and the dark coloured tunic top skims over a multitude of sins.
For a great and very wearable basic T shirt, you can’t go wrong with this Burberry T Shirt.

Grunge is Back
I realise that for some, grunge has never really gone away. I however have not really had much experience with the grungy look since my teenage years. I am feeling quite glad that grunge is back but this time in an altogether more polished and grown up sort of way. This is great news for me as the grunge look is easy to wear, comfy and practical, all qualities that I love in my clothes. So where did this new grunge emerge from?

At the Autumn Winter Burberry Prorsum show, grunge completely dominated the catwalk. Christopher Bailey really showed what he was made of with a stunning collection of luxe grunge featuring cool cashmere beanie hats, opaque tights and striped knits.

At Luella the look was perhaps more slightly on the gothic side of grunge with crimped hair and white foundation. But the opaque tights and grungy greens and blues had a definite wearability about them perhaps more than anything else that I have seen on the catwalk this season.

This Burberry short sleeved T shirt is a bit of luxury and a great colour for next seasons grunge trend.
