Australian Fashion week  ran from Monday 27th April until 1st May in the spectacular setting of Circular Key. Australian fashion week celebrates some of the best designers from Australia and Asia Pacific has to offer. Designers show casing their clothes in the 5 day round of events, exhibitions and shows included some of the key established Australian brands such as Sass and Bide, Lisa Ho and Ginger and Smart with some exciting emerging designers and labels such as Dion Lee, Ellery, Romance Was Born and Therese Rawsthorne.

I think this years fashion week in Australia will definitely be one to make the fashion world sit up and see what Australia has to offer. There was (as in other fashion weeks) a feeling of the current global recession but this didn’t stop the designers creating some beautiful and very wearable clothes. I loved the clothes by Kit Willow, a big favourite with many of the Australian celebrities. The colour scheme was a sort of opulent version of montone with gold, silver and black flowing dresses and full skirts.

If you missed out on Australian fashion week but want a bit of Antipodian pampering, try this Australian organics bath set.
