Maison Martin Margiela

Every where I turn lately, I see designs by Maison Martin Margiela and I am definitely liking what I see. Martin Margiela is a Belgian avant garde designer who started his label in 1998 after working as a design assistant for Jean Paul Gautier for two years. He is notoriously shy and virtually never appears in photographs or at fashion shows. The genius of his work is in the way that he deconstructs and reconstructs garments.
For his spring summer 09 collection which was shown at Paris fashion week, Martin was celebrating the 20th anniversairy of the house. The experience gained through his previous 40 collections has obviously payed off. This amazing collection looked back at the high lights of the last 20 years and proved that they are still as wearable today as they ever were and earning them the status of true classic pieces. Each of the memories of past collections also had a fresh take with wig covered jackets and circular cut leather.
Get yourself a bit of the Maison Martin Margiela style with these MM6 by Maison Martin Margiela trousers.
