Back to Reality
After two weeks of blissful sunshine on holiday in Tenerife, it is now back to reality (and work). Before I have time to catch my breath, I am going on a 4 day training course. The letter I have recieved says dress code is smart casual. This throws up a whole set of anxieties in the wardrobe department. What does smart casual mean?
Well obviously no jeans or scruffy T shirts. I think the most suitable would be a smartish pair of trousers or skirt and top. A suit would certainly be too formal. Unfortunately my wardrobe seems to have a severe lack of smart casual clothes. On the whole I tend to dress smart (for work or going out) or casual (for home and weekends). To add to the difficulty in finding something to wear I seem to have developed a bulging tummy after two weeks of tapas, sangria and icecream on holiday. The ideal solution would be a high waisted skirt with a simple top. Great for holding my tummy in and not too smart or too casual.
