My Seasonal Dilemma

I’m feeling a bit unsure of where I am fashion wise at the moment. On the one hand the likes of Vogue and Elle are urging me to move on to thinking about my autumn winter wardrobe and have already given me a huge amount of information on what I can look forward to next season. On the other hand the likes of Look are still talking about bikinis, summer dresses and sandals.

Whilst my head says move on, the summer is almost over before it has begun and what is the point in buying new summer clothes at this late stage of the day. The weather so far certainly suggests that we won’t be having much of a summer this year so is it really is time to think about jackets, coats, thick tights and boots. My heart is most definitely saying take full advantage of everything summer has to offer including all those deliciously feminine floral dresses, my favourites - maxi dresses and perhaps some lovely tailored and very flattering city shorts. I don’t think I’m ready to completely write off summer and after all when it comes to bright colours and interesting prints, summer usually has it all. Winter too has its plus points, thick opaque tights and snugly warm jumpers but there is plenty of time for all that as winter usually seems to go on for ever.

If you love summer and summer clothes as much as I do make the most of it in this Fifties inspired summer halter neck dress.
