London Fashion Week - Paul Smith

I am taking more notice of London fashion week than New York. Perhaps because it is a bit closer to home, perhaps a bit of patriotism on my part or perhaps I just feel more of a connection, especially as I have been invited to a show in London on Friday (yippee). I will tell more after the event.
For now I would like to say a bit about the Paul Smith fashion show in London yesterday. A truly great and very British designer. I have always loved Paul Smith clothes, probably something to do with them looking really stylish and sophisticated whilst remaining very practical and wearable with a touch of the British eccentricity and quirkiness.
The Autumn / Winter 08 collection was filled with deliciously deep and rich autumn colours, chocolate, orange and yellows with a bit of gloss and sheen and some really beautiful knitwear and tights. The overall look was definitely one of traditional sophistication and ladylike with large multi strings of necklaces and headscarves. Definitely a very tasty collection and something to look forward to for the autumn.
To get the Paul Smith look try teaming this cropped orange cardigan with some chocolate wide legged trousers.
