Breast Cancer Fashion Show

The beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness month was marked by the 11th Breast Cancer Care Fashion Show, which took place on 3 October at London’s Grosvenor House. The show was sponsored by Swarovski and featured 23 models - 21 women and two men - who have all experienced breast cancer.

Dressed in the latest styles, with hair and make up beautifully prepared, the models sashayed down the catwalk to huge cheers from the capacity crowd, and stole the show from presenters Lisa Snowdon and David Walliams, moving many guests to tears.

This year the show raised an amazing £517,000 for the charity, while an additional £400,000 was raised by QVC shopping channel who aired the show live.  Fashion is an industry which is constantly in the limelight so it is the perfect way to raise awareness for such an important cause.

If you want to do your bit for in Breast Cancer Awareness Month you can buy this fab set of lip glosses developed by stila to help raise money for the cause. Part of the proceeds go to the charity so it is a way to help fight breast cancer while keeping your lips kissably soft and shimmery.
